The three small melodramas with guitar on texts by Fráni Šrámek are the result of the composer’s initial interest in the form of melodrama, which he had been concentrating on for more than two decades.  

The three small melodramas, with their scope and lyrical character, can serve as a welcome diversification for concert performances at secondary art schools or for pupils of upper primary art schools.  Recitation ad libitum.
