Haydn Pieces for a Musical Clock (Piano, Organ, Harpsichord)

The musical clock, a mechanically operated miniature organ, was the most popular mechanical instrument of the Rococo.  Joseph Haydn wrote these pieces for a friend of his, a musician who wanted his musical clock to play nothing but the music from the Viennese master.  The transcription of these pieces for keyboard instrument now gives music lovers a chance to become better acquainted with these delightful miniatures, besides providing interesting insights into a unique musical tradition.
